TAKC FOUNDATION
Overview
TAKC Foundation is a youth-led organization committed to ensuring that Pan-African values inform solutions to the economic, peace, and social challenges so as to improve welfare and increase the quality of lives of African individuals by carrying out skills and experience needed for improving livelihoods. The foundation aims at placing Pan-African values and our culture of Ubuntu and Obuntubulamu at the center of all activities on the continent thus enabling Africans to embrace both their identity and innovations that can be scaled up to improve the quality of life.
The TAKC Foundation’s priorities also include support for the mobilization of resources, and the establishment of a roster of professionals who can support vulnerable individuals in various communities to access health, education, water, food security, and ICT and foster sustainable economic growth and empower local communities by providing them with the necessary resources, skills, and opportunities to stimulate economic growth. The foundation is based in Uganda and is part of the company Tumaini African Knowledge Center (TAKC) committed to supporting Africa’s quest for economic development and strategic security b working in key sectors including, Agri-business, Energy, Healthcare, ICT, Tourism, Oil & Gas, and Investment, which functions independently and feeds into one another as needed to satisfy the needs of customers and partners.

We strive to foster inclusive growth, provide access to resources and opportunities, and promote entrepreneurship and innovation by engaging and collaborating with local stakeholders, we aim to build resilient economies that uplift individuals, create employment, and enhance the overall well-being of communities.
TAKC Foundations Main Objectives
Facilitating the creation of income-generating activities, entrepreneurship, and skill development opportunities.
Strengthening the capacity of community members to participate actively in economic activities through our fireside dialogue knowledge sharing, training, and mentorship.
Encourage environmentally friendly practices and initiatives that promote long-term economic growth while preserving natural resources
Empower marginalized groups, such as women, youth, and people with disabilities, by providing equal access to economic opportunities.
Foster partnerships between local communities, governmental organizations, international organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote synergy and maximize impact.
Target
The foundation primarily targets underserved communities in Africa, particularly those facing economic hardships and limited access to resources. Special emphasis will be placed on empowering women and youth to ensure their active participation in economic development.
Our Services
Entrepreneurship Development
- Provide training, mentorship, and incubation support for youth and women entrepreneurs.
- Prepare entrepreneurs and innovative business ideas for investment.
- Establish partnerships with established entrepreneurs and businesses for knowledge sharing and support.
Education and Skill Development
- Develop and implement vocational training programs in all sectors.
- Organize fireside dialogue series and capacity-building programs to enhance business skills.
Access to Finance
- Partner with youth-led investment fund organizations to provide seed funding and venture capital for entrepreneurs.
- Collaborate with financing institutions to develop youth-friendly loan programs.
- Conduct financial literacy campaigns to educate communities about financial management and investment.
Networking and Collaboration
- Organize conferences, summits, and networking events to connect entrepreneurs, professionals, and potential investors.
- Facilitate online platforms and communities for knowledge sharing, mentorship, and collaboration.
- Establish partnerships with local and international organizations to leverage resources and expertise.
Advocacy
- Conduct research and produce reports on entrepreneurship and economic trends in Africa.
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and international bodies to shape programs for economic development.
